Software Developers Give Mutual Clients an Easier Solution
CHICAGO – January 15, 2009 – Software developers Retalix, Ltd. and Ai2 today announced a strategic alliance to offer an interface between Ai2’s handheld solutions and Retalix’ host computer systems. The alliance will allow current Retalix customers in the wholesale/distribution industry to use Ai2’s suite of handheld solutions for sales force and customer order entry.
Ai2 and Retalix are two well-known names in wholesale distribution, providing efficient technology solutions to manage orders, warehouse management and other critical business applications. Retalix host computer systems can automate nearly every aspect of a distributor’s operation. Ai2 specializes in automating the order entry process for a distributor who relies on an outside sales force or its retailers to generate regular orders.
The three main products for which Ai2 will provide a drop-in interface are POW®, HERO® and ACE&tm;. POW® is a handheld application for sales representatives that manages all customer order data, product information, history and sends orders directly to Retalix’ host. HERO® features a color screen similar to POW® but is customized for only one retailer. Additionally, HERO can be used by the distributor to deliver pictures, videos, two-way messaging and other forms of advertising directly to the retailer. ACE&tm; is a simple ordering solution that combines a rugged handheld with easy-to-use functionality and scanning.
