Software developer guarantees order delivery in any event

CHICAGO – June 11, 2009 – Distribution software specialist Ai2 released an announcement today that they will offer guaranteed, if delayed, delivery of orders placed on their software.  The announcement came from CEO Doug Katich.

“When your server goes down for whatever reason, your entire operation can be temporarily paralyzed,” Katich said.  “The orders are the lifeblood of any distributor’s business so we’ve got to make sure they get to headquarters so they can be processed.” Katich went on to describe how the service will work.

If a company using an Ai2 software package is signed up for Order Assurance and their connection to the Internet is severed, Access will step in and intercept the orders being sent in from the field.  Access will then store the orders in a secure data facility until a connection can be restored or an alternate delivery method can be reached.  “It helps us protect our clients against minor things like power surges and major events like a fire or flood,” said Katich.  Access said that Order Assurance will be available to all of its licensees for a flat annual fee of under $1,500.00.  Depending on the size of a distributor’s operation, a single day where the server could not receive orders could cost thousands of dollars in lost sales and recovery time.

Ai2 is a 23-year old family owned and operated software firm headquartered in downtown Chicago. Their solutions are used by over 35,000 users each day to capture over 30 billion dollars in sales each year. Ai2 handles the order entry process for some of the nation’s largest distributors in foodservice, convenience store, grocery, beverage, hardware, medical, beauty and industrial supply.
