Quality Foods Co-Op Selects HERO and ACE

Distributor to Provide Order Entry Versatility

CHICAGO - March 31, 2011 - Software developer Ai2 announced today that Quality Foods Co-Op of Lynchburg, Virginia will implement Ai2's HERO and ACE solutions for its retail customers.

Quality wanted to provide customers with a better order entry tool.  Their older Telxon devices were breaking down and then having replacement availability issues.  Quality also had issues communicating because acoustic couplers do not always work well with digital phone lines.  "It's great to have the opportunity to help Quality replace their old technology," said Ray Walsh, Vice President of Sales for Ai2.  "This will help them save time and money on a daily basis."

Handheld Entry for Remote Orders (HERO) is a mobile computing system for retailers who must generate weekly or semi-weekly orders and obtain regularly updated customer and product information.  Using mobile handheld computers, HERO lets retailers scan barcodes, type, write on the handheld screen, generate orders, receive messages and manage their retail pricing with one convenient application.  ACE is a simpler solution with basic functionality running on a Datalogic Memor.

Quality Foods is a full line wholesaler to the retail/foodservice industry, with special emphasis on convenience stores and superettes.  Quality originated in 1947 to supply independent grocers, and has maintained a steady progressive growth since its inception.  They currently service over 700 retailers in Virginia.  They operate out of a 170,000 square foot modern distribution center located in Central Virginia. For more information, visit the Quality Foods Co-op website.

Ai2 (formerly Access International) is a 25-year old software firm headquartered in downtown Chicago.  Their applications are used by over 75,000 users each day to capture over 40 billion dollars in sales each year.  Ai2 improves the order entry process for some of the nation’s largest distributors in foodservice, convenience store, grocery, beverage, hardware, medical, beauty and industrial supply.  For more information about Ai2, visit www.ai2.com.
