J. Polep Chooses ProSel and WAMPro from Ai2
Convenience Leader To Automate Eighty Reps with iPad Solution
TweetCHICAGO - October 28, 2011 - Software developer Ai2 announced today that J. Polep Distributing of Chicopee, Massachusetts has selected ProSel, Ai2's sales force automation and content management app for iPad. The solution will roll out in the next few months to eighty outside sales reps.
J. Polep needed a solution that managed the demanding life of an outside sales rep in the convenience distribution industry. Salespeople are responsible for a wide variety of tasks including orders, returns, making presentations, recommending products and organizing material on shelves via plan-o-grams. They have all that and more with ProSel. The company will significantly reduce its printing costs and give its salespeople the ability to make memorable presentations to current and prospective customers. Polep will also have the benefits of Pigeonholes, Ai2's new iPad application for content management and document synchronization that is designed specifically for the wholesale distribution industry.
"It's an honor and a privilege to earn J. Polep's business once again," said Douglas Katich, CEO for Ai2. "They were using our handheld product (Pocket OrderWriter) for many years, in fact they were the first licensee. The usability of the iPad and the fact that we can help them with manufacturer rebate programs proved irresistable. I hope they can continue to be a great reference for us." Katich continued that "it's because of partners like Polep that we're able to offer the solutions we do. They help us with real-world, real-time input about the state of the industry and their field reps' needs."
ProSel is Ai2's latest addition to its software suite for distribution professionals. The app is designed to give a sales rep online and offline access to a complete product catalog, images, a robust search function, content management, document syncing and more. The app debuted in early 2011 and has received a lot of attention from whole distributors across several segments like foodservice, hardware and liquor.
WAMpro is Ai2's new solution for automated rebate tracking on the iPad. Manufacturers offer incentives to distributors and retailers for purchasing a certain amount of product within a certain time frame, and keeping track of all the programs is no easy task. WAMpro is designed to replace manual, paper-based processes with an easy-to-use application that a sales rep uses to improve program compliance, leading to additional incentives for all.
The original Polep Tobacco Company was founded by Charles Polep in 1898 in Salem, Massachusetts. J. Polep is ranked as one of the top 15 convenience store distributors in the United States and services 4000 retailers in New England, Pennsylvania and New York. For more about J.
