The POW® solution manages all the processes required to generate and transmit orders to your host computer for processing. In addition, POW® keeps the mobile computer updated with the latest business information being generated by your host computer. The POW® solution includes these important components to meet these sales force automation requirements;
- POW® client application software running on the mobile computer
- Ai2 Communication Server (ACS) Software
Your sales reps can create and transmit orders from the field to the ACS system. These orders can then be sent directly to your host computer for immediate processing or held in the ACS and processed at your convenience. Salespeople can receive updated business information throughout the day including order confirmations, reports and file updates. Communication between the POW® client and ACS system can be accomplished in a variety of methods including telephone dial up through a 56 KBS modem connection, local area network (LAN), wireless local area network (WLAN) and wide area network (WAN) from cellular communication carriers like AT&T / Cingular, Verizon, Altell, and Sprint. All communications are managed and controlled through the Ai2 Communication Server (ACS) software that operates on a PC based communication server. The ACS system is the bridge to your host process computer system used to operate your business.
