One of the nation’s largest convenience store, tobacco and grocery distributor will outfit its over 100 delivery drivers with the DeliverPro proof of delivery app from Ai2. The distributor expects to save $2.5 million in operating expenses over the next five years as a result of the proof of delivery app deployment. DeliverPro, an iPad mobile proof of delivery app, will automate many of a delivery driver’s daily tasks. In the next five years, the distributor estimates it will save $2.5 million in administrative costs, printing expenses, shrinkage and data entry errors.
The DeliverPro app will help the distributor eliminate over two hours of daily paperwork that came with the hand reconciliation of payments, collections, and other manual paper-based processes that were a required task for delivery drivers. Those drivers will now have their manifest, payments and Department of Transportation checklists automated on the iPad.
DeliverPro is equipped to scan barcodes on totes and packages, handle refusals, track a driver’s time at each stop, and capture electronic signatures.
Administrators can log in to the proof of delivery app’s web portal and monitor daily collections via check, cash or credit card in real time. The proof of delivery app can also take and send photos of deliveries if a distributor requires that. The proof of delivery app data syncs with a distributor’s ERP solution, eliminating human intervention.
